Monthly Party Committees
Your Annual Club Commitment
Monthly Club Parties are at the heart of the Polo Club’s social life.
As part of Club membership, every member is required to serve on a party committee once each year.
Party committees help plan, prepare, host, and close out the Club’s monthly social events.
How Assignments Work
Monthly committee sign-up sheets are made available after the Annual Meeting. Members may select a month based on their preferences and schedule.
If you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting, contact the Social Chair by June 1 to provide your preferences.
If no preferences are received, the Social Chair will assign you to a committee.
The Social Chair makes the assignments and designates a Party Coordinator for each month. The Coordinator is generally the first member listed on the committee schedule and is identified with an asterisk.
If You Cannot Make Your Assigned Date
Members are responsible for arranging a trade with another member if they cannot participate during their assigned month.
If you arrange a change:
Contact the other member and confirm the trade.
Notify the Party Coordinator.
Notify the Social Chair.
If you are assigned as Party Coordinator but cannot serve in that role, you are responsible for making sure another committee member takes over as Coordinator and notifying the Social Chair.
Participation Requirement
Members are expected to fulfill their annual party-committee obligation.
A resolution passed at the 2026 Annual Meeting establishes a $150 non-participation fee per person for any member who does not participate in at least one monthly party committee during the membership year.
Until the fee is paid, the member may not reserve Club facilities or renew their annual membership.
